Fin's Week In Review

Here's Fin past week...
She got a new doll with a pacifier. She loves to push it in her baby stroller!
She let Mommy (aka Momma!) put four ponytails in her hair all at once.
She played. A lot.

She wore high heels. A lot.

She smiled. A lot.

She ate. Not a lot. This girl is still tiny. Girl loves corn though.

She helped Momma make spinach dip. It's a staple down here in Georgia. She LOVED it! Daddy was appalled.

She wore Daddy's tilly hat.

She put benadryl cream on her mosquito bites just like Momma does. Only, Momma has 30 bites. Fun times...

She rides her cow. She liked to feed him too.

She held Livi's hand. She ADORES Livi (who doesn't?).

She played with the big kids under the watchful eye of Livi.

She saw this GORGEOUS boy (Tyler) play in his All-Star game. He did great and made her so proud!

Fin also got to go on her FIRST boat ride with Mr. Matt and Mrs. Amy this week. She LOVED it!
She also went to Aunt Ashley's Engagement party! She was the only kid there because everybody that usually babysits her was there! She was sweet and went home with Owie and D early and got McDonald's.
When she wasn't doing one of the above activities, she was in the pool with Aunt Cindy, Uncle Ricky, Momma, Daddy, Owie and D.
Oh, I just love her!

Wow... Time flies!

I haven't posted in forever and have felt SO guilty about it! I have also lost touch with lots of friends because I work so much now and feel I need to spend all my extra time with Fin since she's growing SO FAST! Too fast. I know I don't want her to stay little forever, but I sure am enjoying her at this age. She seems to be getting better and better (if that's even possible!). She still stays home with her daddy every day and he takes her to the library and My Gym weekly. He enjoys her as much as I do (if not more). She sure is lucky to have such a devoted daddy. So...here's what has happened since my last February post:

It snowed on March 2nd. We drove to Auburn so Fin could play in the snow with her beloved cousins. Fin tries her hardest to say "Livi" but it comes out "Wee Wee." Livi laughs every time she says it.

Here's a pic of a morning book reading by daddy. Fin still cherishes her books. Makes me proud!

Fin had a portrait session done in Auburn. She was horrific. She DID NOT want to be there, much less pose for any body. I was amazed at what Claire Haynes did with such a moody baby. The pictures turned out to be my favorite to date.

My grandparent's house also flooded in March. It was a nightmare. The entire living room had to be gutted. On the good side, my grandmother got the new living room she had been asking for...

Fin LOVES the water. I was concerned that she would get sunburned with that ivory skin of hers, but I am pleasantly surprised that she's getting a little tan these days. Turns out she might have a little of Papa's skin after all...

We are still living with my grandparents while we try to catch up from the horrible financial year we had in Charlotte. Fin gets to spend precious time with her great-grandparents. They have grown very attached to one another. I'm not sure what my grandmother is going to do when we FINALLY get our own house again! My grandfather had a stroke the first week of June, but is doing fine. Thanks for the prayers.

Just a cute pic... no explanation.

We were very concerned about uncovering the pool this year. My grandmother and I are both worriers. But, so far, Fin has done incredibly well. She can't go up to the pool without her "swimmies" on and she hasn't tried. She kicks and paddles and has a great time when we are up there with her. She's my little guppy.

Writing: Fin loves it. She loves to do crosswords just like Owie. She thinks she grown.

Marcel turned 40 on May 21st and we had a surprise party for him on the 29th. He had no idea. I was so proud that I kept it such a good secret. His best friend from Canada was able to come down and we went to the Atlanta Aquarium and the Coca-Cola museum while they were here. Fin had a fabulous time, as usual.

I thought this position was hysterical. I love it when she crosses her legs (as did my mom when I was little - I remember her begging me to cross mine). Fin also sleeps for at least 12 hours every night. So... if she goes to bed at 10, she'll sleep until 10. I know...amazing. She's unbelievably awesome.

Here's a pic of Owie and Fin. They are best friends. However, poor Owie takes a backseat to Mimi (my mom). Fin drops Owie like a hot potato if Mimi is around. She's a fair weather friend, for sure. Owie doesn't mind, though. She says she'll share with Mimi since she doesn't get to see her that often...

All things girly is what Fin likes. Glitter, make-up and jewelry is what this girl wants. Marcel can try all he wants to get her to be rough and play sports, but Fin still manages to get her "girl" in.

We've been busy with Mother's Day, Father's Day and everybody's birthday in between. We never have an empty weekend. It's only going to get busier too. My cousin Ashley is getting married in September and her shower festivities have started. Fin is also the flower girl (along with Livi, of course), so say a prayer for that. Tyler made All-Stars and his first game is this Friday. Fin LOVES the ballpark! "Go Ty-er" she says. Fun times! I am so glad we are back with my family!
I love, love, love being able to come home to my beautiful little blonde headed, blue eyed girl. I miss her desperately while I am at work. Marcel has been instructed to text me at least one picture per day. I live for those. Makes me smile every time.
I am going to try harder and keep up with this blog. I hope that one day Fin will be able to look back at it and know how much she was adored. I thank God every day that he blessed me with this beautiful, smart and sweet child to care for while I am here on this earth. She amazes me every day with her knowledge and vocabulary. Marcel has asked me several times "Did YOU teach her that?" My reply is usually "no, she learned it herself." I love this kid with my whole being.
